Here are some pix and a few words to help explain the hydr tensioner parts and their placement on the 2.4 engine.
The new water pump has a boss cast into it that is the mount for the new swivel pulley. The pump does not come with a new gasket/o-ring. The o-ring from the orig pump should work fine.
Once the new water pump is in place, the rear cover can be fitted up and secured with the two bolts right under the cams and one just below the water pump.
An aluminum spacer block is needed to fill the space in between the oil pump housing and the new rear cover. The two long bolts with the kit, go through Hydr tensioner unit, the cover, (which has metal inserts in it), through the alum spacer block, through the oil pump/front cover and into into the engine block. Just start the bolts by hand until you are ready to set the tension on the belt. This will hold ti all together.
