With the help of an air cylinder, the plate folds back when the boost hits 8 psi, to let as much air as possible get through the big intercooler.
Who said the people that already have their PTs' are out of luck when the new turbos come out?!!. Chrysler does not have the only great ideas about turbos and the PT Cruiser!! ..Hahn Racecraft can fix you right up with a sweet turbo system and tech. help, to keep you on track... plus ...ME!!  ... I'll help too!  I hate mechanic work! ...  But I loved this job ...  It's not bad at all. I only skinned one small spot on my hand.

I am living in a rental while our new home is being built. All I had to work with was some hand tools and a jack and ramps I bought from Wallmart. I actually own a car lift! But it is in storage till we move! So this was all done on the ground, in the driveway, over 4 nights and a Saturday, if you count tunning and adjustments.
Actually, ... I just cut the grass and I just wanted you to see what a nice job I did! But somebody parked a cool car on it,  so you can look at that instead. ... .My sweet Wife swears, the only reason I cut it without complaining, was cause I wanted to take some pictures! ... now can you believe she would think a thing like that?!
I finally, I got some paint on the new cover!
